Rounds Coach: Interval Timer · Effective 15 September 2026
Rounds collects no data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Rounds has no servers of its own, so there is nowhere for your information to go.
Your timers
Timers, folders and settings are stored on your iPhone. If you have an Apple Watch, the iPhone sends your timers to it over Apple's watch connection. They are never uploaded anywhere else.
Apple Health (optional)
If you turn on "Save workouts to Apple Health", Rounds writes each finished workout and an estimate of the calories burned, and reads your body weight to make that estimate. On Apple Watch it also reads your heart rate during a workout to show it on screen. This information stays in Apple Health on your devices. Rounds never uses Health data for advertising and never shares it.
Apple Music (optional)
If you choose an Apple Music playlist for a timer, Rounds reads the list of playlists in your music library on your iPhone so you can pick one, and plays it on your iPhone.
Music from other apps
Rounds can lower, pause and resume music playing in other apps, such as Spotify, Apple Music or a podcast app, using the iPhone's standard audio controls. It never sees what you're listening to and has no connection to those apps' accounts.
The coach voice
The coach's voice is recorded audio built into the app. Nothing you type or say is sent anywhere to produce it.
The support form on this website
If you send a message through the form on the support page, your message, any email address you choose to add, and your browser's device description are delivered to the developer by email through Web3Forms, a form-delivery service, so they can answer you. They are used for nothing else. The app itself doesn't send anything through this form.
Children
Rounds does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
